about >
Baltasar Cevc is a technology-enthusiastic lawyer who brings many years of professional experience from start-ups, SMEs and large corporations to his client work. He is passionately focussed on the intersection of IT and law. His particular areas of interest are the cloud and AI, including the associated data protection issues. His former employment as an IT expert complements his legal expertise. This enables him to combine the legal, technical and business perspectives and thus develop practical and pragmatic solutions.
He is intensively involved in the more efficient and customer-friendly organisation of legal services and the use of technology solutions in legal advice ("legal tech"). Always on the lookout for a better, more innovative approach, he is constantly improving his internal processes. His related extra-professional activities, in which he promotes the further development of legal services, particularly in networks, are entirely in line with this. For example, he is the initiator of the Legal Hackers Chapter Nuremberg, one of the longest-standing members and ambassador of the Liquid Legal Institute e.V.. He is involved in projects in the field of working methods, such as agile working methods for the legal sector, business process management for legal departments, standardisation and collaboration in the field of cloud and data services.
He likes to combine office and leisure time by bike, even over medium-long distances; in his free time, he also likes to ride downhill on a technical but flowing descent. Occasionally, he practises mastering the water on a kayak. He is equally fond of the city with its high culture and subculture. He loves music, but plays and practises the saxophone far too rarely.
