Overview
Here we explain how we process your data in the context of a job application and interview.
Responsible for data processing is: attorney-at-law (Rechtsanwalt) Baltasar Cevc.
We use a separate mailbox for the application documents and process them only for the purpose of the application - from your application to our review, job interviews to a decision and a short-term storage to clarify any issues that may arise subsequently. We delete the data six months after completion of the application process unless you agree to store it for future openings.
Important note: Please submit your application exclusively via the specific email address jobs-er@fingolex.com. This ensures that the data is processed exclusively in the separate area for applicant data.

Your Rights
You can ask for information about your data we process, including transmission to third parties; you may also ask for correction and for deletion or restriction of processing of the data. We hereby inform you that for data saved in conjunction with our website, we regularly do not have the possibility to attribute the data to you ourselves and we may hence need further information from you to fulfil the request; in such cases we will inform you accordingly and provide you with the requested information as soon as we have received the necessary further information. For data we process based on your consent or to fulfill a contractual relationship, you can request a copy of such data. However, we will exclude data whose handover would infringe rights and freedoms of third parties.
In case we process your data based on legitimate interest, you have the right to object based on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Detailed description of the data processing
Your application
Purpose
We are pleased that you are interested in our law firm and are willing to share your data with us in order to get to know us. We are aware that this may contain very personal information. Therefore, we ask you to use only the application channel so that we can easily ensure that your data is processed only to the extent necessary.
Procedure and data
You can submit your application by email to the address jobs-er@fingolex.com. Please attach the documents directly to the message and note your contact details.
You are welcome to send us your message encrypted with PGP, you will find the key here.
Only persons involved in the application process internally have access to the messages.
We may also ask you for further data that we consider relevant to the application procedure. If you prefer not to provide certain information, please let us know. We will then discuss whether we think we can continue the process without it. For example, we need to know who you are and how we can reach you (to be able to contact you) and what your formal and informal qualifications are (to assess your suitability for the job). Feel free to give us the data you want to share with us so that we can get a picture of you—but in the figurative sense. A photo is not necessary, we will get to know each other personally anyway. It is important for us to make our decision based on your qualifications and personal aptitude and not on outer appearance—we need to know that you are up to the job and that we can presumably work well together in our diverse team.
We will review your documents and contact you for a possible job interview. You may come as you are—we would like to get to know you as a person irrespective our other appearance.
After we have decided on a candidate, we will inform you accordingly.
Necessary information
We need certain information, such as your name and contact details, in order to be in contact with you. We also need to know something about your experience, background, qualifications and interests in order to assess your suitability for the job. Although you are not contractually or legally obligated to provide us with this information, we will probably need this information to consider you in the application process.
Storage period
After the procedure is completed, we store the data for another six months to clarify any discussions. After that time we delete your data.
If we don't have a suitable position at the moment but have a good impression, we will ask if we can store your data for a longer period of time in order to contact you at a later time if necessary. You are free to decide whether you want to do so.
Legal basis
We process these data for the purpose of initiating a contract, the employment contract, on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 letter b) GDPR in connection with § 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act).
